Ferdasyn is a locally run Mountain Guide service offering certified guides with local knowledge of the best places for you mountain adventure. 

We take small groups (max 6) of guests ski touring, climbing, ice climbing and mountaineering in Tromsø, Lyngen and Senja as well as internationally. The guide chooses objectives on a day to day basis in dialogue with the group, and always with the goal of maximizing enjoyment and safety for the group as a whole.

Ferdasyn is run by local IFMGA certified guide Thomas Meling. The IFMGA (UIAGM) certification is the gold standard of mountain guiding, and Ferdasyn exclusively work with IFMGA-guides and aspirants. ​Thomas guides in Norwegian, English and French, and has grown up both in Norway and Switzerland before settling in Tromsø with his family. ​

Thomas has over 25 years of experience in climbing, mountaineering ans skiing. His most notable achievements are multiple free ascents of the north face of Blåmannen, the local big wall, as well as a free ascent of El Capitan in Yosemite, expeditions to Patagonia, Kyrgyzstan, Peru, Nepal and sport climbs up to 8b. He is also the co-owner of a climbing gym, Buldreterminalen, and a long time member of the Norwegian Mountain Rescue Team.
