Ferdasyn Mountaineering
Delivering dreams
The mountains in Troms take up residence in the soul. Do you dream of climbing the north face of majestic Blåmann? Float safely on skis down the legendary Jiehkkevárri? Or do you just want to be guided safely to find the best powder and the finest view? Regardless of your level, Ferdasyn can help you along the way.

Ferdasyn is run by Thomas Meling (b. 1982). He has worked with guiding and climbing training since 2004 and is certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide via Nortind. Originally from Haugesund, Thomas fell in love with the mountains on Kvaløya, and lives here with his family. When he is not in the mountains, he runs the climbing centre Buldreterminalen. Thomas is probably the one with the most free ascents of Blåmannen's north wall, the first Norwegian free ascent of El Cap in Yosemite, California, and has several major ascents in Patagonia under his belt as well as expeditions to Peru, Nepal and Kyrgyzstan. Member of Norwegian Alpine Rescue Groups and editorial member of Tidsksrift for Norwegian Alpine Climbing.
